"Franca's Story" Wins Two Prestigious Awards!

"Franca's Story: Survival in World War II Italy" was the recipient of a Benjamin Franklin Award "for excellence in publishing through the year 2005", in the category "Interior design, 1-2 color". The awards cover content, design, and innovative marketing. Winners were announced on May 17, 2006 at the BookExpo America (BEA) in Washington, D.C.
"Franca's Story" won the Silver Award in the Memoir category for ForeWord Magazine's Book of the Year Award 2005 "Honoring Excellence in Independent Publishing" in the category of Autobiography/Memoir. ForeWord Magazine received 1,500 entries for the awards; their staff sorted through them, selecting the finalists which were sent to librarians and booksellers who picked the winners.

"Franca's Story" was nominated for the Independent Publisher Book Awards, also known as the IPPY Awards, in the Autobiography/Memoir category. The 'IPPY' Awards were launched in 1996 and are designed to bring recognition to the deserving but often unsung titles published by independent authors and publishers.
